Life in Genial LightResidential House Designed by Shun-Yuan Chang
The house has one living room, one dining room, one kitchen, and three rooms. The indoor space, furthermore, is heightened and filled with natural sunlight. The principle of design, based on creating a luminous space, advocates the divergent materials and exquisite aesthetics that are complementary adorned with gentle textures of woods, white finish furniture, marble, etc. thereby the marble walls reflecting the genial sunlight spawn the elegant ambience.
Designing exclusively for a small family, the designer crafty in manipulating architectural conditions and decoration materials made the best use of space and established a satisfactory living environment. The dining table, as an island bar concurrently, efficiently utilizes the limited space. The one room, adjoining the living room on the back, is decorated with the large glass, where is efficiently accommodated as either a study room or guest room. The tall indoor space dexterously contains both the artistic and functional elements of design, e.g. the heightened wardrobe furnished with a movable step ladder is containable for more clothes. The hidden bathroom, in the master bedroom, figuratively spares the room with more space.
The entryway floor furnished with exotic Italian bricks manifests the amiable European style. The upper and lower suspended shoes cabinet, on which put with small but essentials, makes life more convenient. On the right of entryway, when coming in the house, people will see an extensive wall decorated with white-finish cabinet doors and artistic marbles consistently broadens the sense of sight. The sleek wooden boards, comprehensively ornamented under the big wall, strengthen the majestic impression. The brilliant design idea inventing the hidden wall structures, for TV and cabinet storages, is comparably corresponding to the vista in the dining room. The exhibition of artworks, in the middle of cabinets, is captivating as well.
The space is 140 square meters. The project finished in Dec. 2016 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. This Design was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. Bronze A' Design Award : Bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. Esteemed for incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, they exhibit strong technical and creative skills and contribute to quality of life improvements, making the world a better place.
